11^th VistA Community Meeting Agenda

Times: 9am - 5pm

The Greenbelt meeting is organized around five tracks:

Installing FOIA VistA/OpenVistA -- Attendees interested in installing VistA on their laptops will have the chance to work together with volunteers to learn how to do this and to help document the process of installing and configuring VistA.

Developing OpenVistA -- VistA programmers interested in working on OpenVistA will have a room, a network, collaborators, and projects to work on together.

VistA Classes -- Attendees interested in learning about VistA may choose from a suite of two-hour intensive classes on a variety subjects, including :

• Essential VistA APIs, presented by Rick Marshall

• VistA Coding Techniques, presented by Rick Marshall

• CPRS Demo & Overview, presented by Ross Flecher/Joseph Dal Molin

• VistA Business & Project Management, presented by Claudine Beron

• Web Interface for VistA presented by Bob Miller

• Train the Trainer for Vista, presented by Rodney Kay (projector needed)

• Learning about OpenForum and VistA, presented by David Whitten (Internet needed)

• Unification of Code Base among EHRs, presented by Rick Marshall/Maury Pepper

• Discussion about VistA Software Alliance, presented by Barbara Boykin (new 10/8)

There will also be panel discussion which include:

• Systems & Capacity Management

• OpenSource and VistA (Workshop/Panel)

• VistA Software Lifecycle

• Configuring VistA to support GTM/Cache

• Requirements of Collaborative SW (new 10/8)

WorldVistA Organization -- Attendees interested in the future of the VistA community can help shape WorldVistA membership, form committees and councils, and incubate projects. Subjects for discussion will include:

• Continued work on Organization Plan

• Code of Conduct

• International component

• Transition Planning

• Planning for 2005 Conferences

• Coordination with VSA and other groups

Special Sessions -- Representatives from government agencies and nonprofit organizations can request special sessions to discuss their plans and interests with WorldVistA. Current sessions include:
